Commercial Rice Farming in Nigeria

Nigeria is the giant of Afrca because pf its large population, and we are investing in commercial rice farming. We are currently working on building a mechanized rice farm and processing facility to serve domestic markets and reduce the country’s dependence on rice imports.

  • Feasibility:
Medium. Nigeria has arable land and high domestic demand. Government supports local production through subsidies and import restrictions.

  • Potential Returns:
High if scaled efficiently (~15–25% IRR). There’s strong demand and room for vertical integration (e.g., milling, packaging).

  • Risks:
Insecurity in rural areas, supply chain inefficiencies, fluctuating government policy, and weather variability.
