Renewable Energy: Solar Power Plant in Kenya

We are working on building a large-scale solar power farm to supply electricity to rural and peri-urban areas in Kenya, reducing reliance on diesel generators and expanding access to clean energy.

Feasibility:

Kenya has strong solar irradiance, supportive government policies (e.g., feed-in tariffs), and a growing off-grid energy market and therefore the feasibility is very high.

Potential Returns:

Moderate to high over long term (IRR ~10–18%). Returns improve with carbon credit sales and power purchase agreements (PPAs).

Risks:

Grid connectivity challenges, currency risk, and policy shifts on energy subsidies or tariffs.
